Low risk is not equal to zero
Here's why.

I might have lost my book manuscript.
It's at customs, in a cardboard box, alongside other items being held because of bureaucracy.
The blame is on me. What was I thinking not bringing it with me? Duh.
When you undertake an international move, things like this can happen.
I'm tempted to say this happened despite my careful planning. Rather, this happened BECAUSE of my careful planning.
With so many things to pack and so little space available, I took the chance and left the manuscript behind (in favor of some other things). I pondered the risk of losing it. It was low. But low is not equal to zero.
I'm not mad, I'm not surprised. This was a possibility after all.
What's next? Fight red tape, get my stuff or move on.
To be continued...

Thanks for reading!
